Kay, BS, RDH
Kay, B.S., R.D.H., has been a dental hygienist with Dr. Romano since 1996.
She was instrumental in developing the office’s Hygiene Maintenance Program and New Patient Experience. A graduate of Union College/Union County Technical Institute’s Dental Hygiene program, Kay has over 30 years experience in the field of dentistry.
Kay was awarded highest academic achievement honors in the Allied Health Services Department when she received her Bachelor of Science from Montclair State University
Kathy, CDA, RDH
Kathy has been in the dental field since 2007. She graduated from Berdan Institute in 2007 where she earned her a CDA and then went on to earn her RDH degree at Bergan Community College in 2013. Kathy volunteers each year with the Give Kids A Smile program sponsored by NJDA. She is also certified with the American Red Cross First Aid CPR/AED.
Whole-hearted and inviting, Lauren has become an exceptional addition to the practice. She graduated from Bergen Community College with an A.A.S. degree in Dental Hygiene with superb clinical experience. Lauren enjoys working with children and has volunteered at the Educational Partnership for Instructing Children (EPIC) and Alpine Learning Group, schools for children with autism in Paramus, NJ. This experience gave her the opportunity to hone her abilities in dealing with children that have special needs. Lauren finds fulfillment in educating her patients, helping them with any hygiene questions they may have. Aside from dental hygiene, Lauren also enjoys hiking in Upstate New York.
Patient Care Coordinator
Stacey, CDA, RDA
Stacey is a registered dental assistant. Stacey attended the Dental Studies Institute of New Jersey. Stacey obtained her New Jersey Dental Radiology license in 2012. She is also certified in Basic Life Support and CPR.
Stacey has been Dr. Romano’s lead assistant during his implant surgeries. She has excellent knowledge of implant procedures. Her keen organizational skills are essential during surgery. Stacey loves being a dental assistant and it shows in her genuine care for the patients and in the support of the office team.
Stacey has moved into the front office position to assist in the scheduling of patients.
She is able to make the complexities of dental insurance seem simple. Having worked chair side for many years, Stacey is able to help patients fully understand their individualized treatment plans.
Stacey’s pleasant personality brings a sense of serenity to the office as she is able to put anxious or afraid patients at ease. Most of the procedures in our office are done “four-handed” with an assistant directly helping Dr. Romano. This allows state-of-the-art dentistry to be done as expeditiously as possible.
Stacey continues to grow in the field of dentistry by exceeding the required continuing education credits required by the state of NJ.
She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their two dogs.
Dental Assisting Team
Maritza, CDA, RDA
Maritza graduated top of her class from Fairfield Dental Institute in 2001. She received her dental assisting certification and x-ray license after completing board exams through DANB in 2000. She obtained her RDA license in the state of NJ in 2003. Maritza is highly trained in using the Cerec system for creating and finishing crowns. Maritza enjoys working with patients and helping people feel comfortable and at ease in the dental office. She enjoys working with children. She is a mother of one so she relates well to the young children in our practice.
Graduating at the top of her class from Fortis Institute in 2016, Lindsey brings a long record of exemplary patient care from her years as a certified nursing assistant. Known for her warm bedside manner, Lindsey brings a level of compassion and vigor to patient care that is second to none. Her passion for dental care and interest in developing technologies ensures the highest level of efficiency and efficacy to the patient experience.
Lindsey is a New Jersey native who in her spare time enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
